MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Transforming lives

The MSSC is dependent upon the generosity of a wide range of supporters from the private and charity sectors. They help to provide the major assets for the Sea Cadets – pulling boats, power vessels, training centres, yachts and a sailing brig - and contribute to the bursary fund to ensure that no cadet is excluded from training activity on grounds of financial hardship.

The Marine Society is supported by the Skills Funding Agency along with trusts and companies in its provision of services to seafarers to enhance learning and well-being and to facilitate professional development.

We are proud that our corporate supporters include Babcock International PLC, BP, Crewsaver, HSBC Educational Trust, Laurent Giles Naval Architects, Liberty International PLC, The Maersk Company Limited, NYK Group Europe Ltd, Rigiflex Ltd, Suzuki GB and Typhoon.

Alongside this distinguished group of companies we enjoy the regular support of many trusts and foundations who make substantial contributions to provide our new capital assets. These include The Band Trust, The Draper's Company, The Garfield Weston Foundation, The Jack Petchey Foundation, The London Marathon Trust, The Robinerston Trust, Seafarers UK, Trinity House and  The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights to name a few.
